The Washington Employers Association handles human resource management services for hundreds of companies in Washington State.
When the client first approached Out of Web Site!, they had a very ineffective web site. Their site did not look professional, nor did it offer any useful features for their clients. A major redesign was in order.
Out of Web Site! started the project by developing a professional graphical design to improve the look and feel of the web site. We then reorganized the entire site to make it very easy and intuitive to understand.
Next we set out to improve the functionality of the site by adding new features. We created an internal search function to search throughout the site. We added an online training course section to display upcoming training courses that users can register for on the web site. We also added a recent news section that the client can use to promote their company. Most importantly, we included our Content Management System which allows the client to update all of these features by themselves.
We also designed an online survey application that allows the client to conduct sophisticated surveys and analyze the results. This has proven quite successful and the client now uses it for many of their customers.
Case Study
Heritage Coffee is an well known coffee company located in Alaska. They have upscale coffee shops in several locations, and also distribute coffee wholesale nationwide.
The graphical design for this web site was created to work well with the current branding of Heritage Coffee, and to give it that Alaskan look and feel. The owners take great pride in Alaska and wanted to be sure the web site reflected this character. We also created a Flash based home page to give the site that extra bit of appeal and interest.
Out of Web Site! developed a fully featured e-commerce system for this online store. Customers can browse or search through the store, and add items to their shopping cart at any time. Orders can be placed directly online with the credit card being processed in real time. Notice how all the e-commerce features blend in perfectly with the look and feel of the web site! This really adds to the whole user experience. On the backend, an entire customer and order database is stored for the client's records.
Another major part of this web site is the Content Management System which allows the client to update the web site all by themselves. Every product in the store can be updated by the client, which gives them complete control over what is in their online store. Any member of the staff can update the store whenever needed.
This web site has been really well received. The client and their customers just rave at its success!
