Visioneer is a worldwide leader in developing scanners and other consumer electronics. They are famous for their PaperPort scanner, and compete with such big-name companies as Hewlett Packard, Canon, Epson, and others.

Visioneer wanted to upgrade their outdated web site with a new site that looked modern, sleek, and sophisticated. They wanted to give their customers a better overall experience, and enhance their customer service. Most of all, they wanted a web site that reflected the high quality of their products.

Out of Web Site! started the project with a series of interviews to learn about Visioneer's main objectives. We analyzed the competition in detail, and then recommended a course of action that would really make the Visioneer web site stand above the competition. Instead of having a cluttered site that was centered on selling products, we recommended a clean site that showcased the best features of their products. In a sense, it was geared more toward their customers than just toward selling products.

With this in mind we developed a series of graphical designs for each of the main sections of the site. Each concept was specifically designed to showcase Visioneer's great product line in a manner that was appealing and helpful to the end user. The result is a web site that is easy on the eyes, and encourages the user to learn more about each product. It is the antithesis of other web sites in which clutter and too much information overwhelms the user.

Visioneer also wanted to streamline the maintenance of their web site, and delegate this task to non-technical members of their staff. Therefore, we created a complete Content Management System (CMS) which allows the client to easily add, update, or delete any page on the Web site. They can even draft copies of new Web pages, and then email the draft to other staff members for review.

Alaska Pacific Bank is a leading bank in Southeast Alaska serving many cities in the region. With a large national bank moving into their local area, Alaska Pacific Bank needed a strong new web site in order to remain competitive in the marketplace.

Out of Web Site! delivered a new web site with a sophisticated look and feel that contains the best breed of online banking technologies available today. In all respects, this web sites holds its own in a head to head comparison with its large national competitor.

We started by thoroughly researching the banking industry, and banking web sites. We came to the conclusion that most banking web sites do a poor job of presenting information about their products and services. Cluttered layouts, uninspiring graphical designs, and endless trails of clicks seemed to be par for the course.

Our first task, therefore was to develop a smooth layout and design that organized all the information in a manner that was intuitive and easy for the customer. We also concentrated on emphasizing the bank's primary selling points through the use of local photography and catchy sales lines.

Our second major task was to integrate advanced online banking features that are found in today's top banking web sites. For this site, we added such features as: online banking, online loan applications, and financial calculators.

To make the site easy to maintain and update by the bank administrators, we designed a Content Management System (CMS). Our CMS system allows authorized members to update the web site at any time, all by themselves, without the need for a web designer.

Best Crystal is a top retailer of crystal products and gifts nationwide. It carries all the top name brands such as Waterford, and offers great deals such as free shipping.

Best Crystal had some very high end requirements for their new web site. Foremost they needed a sophisticated e-commerce system for their online store. They needed a shopping cart, credit card validation, a checkout system, a customer and order database, gift certificates, digital coupons, a gift registry, sale pricing, and more! The customer also needed a professional looking web site that rivaled big name sites such as Waterfird. They needed search engine optimization to get ranked well in the major search engines. Finally, they needed to be able to update their entire online store all by themselves.

That's a pretty detailed list of requirements involving many advanced web technologies. Yet everything on this list is well within our capabilities and represents what we do on a daily basis. Out of Web Site! is perfectly suited for this type of project.

The web site that we designed included all the technologies mentioned above resulting in a very sophisticated online store. We designed a powerful Content Management System for the client so that they could update their entire product line all by themselves. This way they can add or edit products at any time. They can even edit the product categories and change the items on the home page. Our system also gives the client the ability to create gift certificates and discount coupons. The entire customer and order database is stored for the client's records. We even include a bulk e-mail function that allows the client to send special promotions to their customer base.

Great care was also taken in designing the graphical design for this web site. It absolutely had to be top notch and match the quality of other high end crystal retailers. The look and feel of the site is clean, sophisticated, and professional. The client was ecstatic with the final result.

Optasite is one of the leading providers of infrastructure to the wireless telecommunications industry. They are based in the Boston, MA area and service the Northeastern region of the US, and are now expanding nationwide.

This is another case in which our client had an existing web site that was simply doing very little for their business. The old site was poorly designed and outdated. It was not helpful to customers, and it reflected poorly on Optasite.

The new site sported a sophisticated, high-tech look and feel that was appropriate for the client's industry and target audience.
